HE IS TO BE BEATEN
“I gave my back to the smiters ….” (Isaiah 50:6)
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)
“He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.” (Lamentations 3:30)
“And others smote him with the palms of their hands, saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?” (Matthew 26:67-68)
“And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.” (Mark 14:65)

HE IS TO DIE ON A TREE
“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which YAHWAH thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.” (Deuteronomy 21:22-23)
“The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.” (Acts 5:30)
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” (Galatians 3:13)
“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:7-8)
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
HE IS TO BE LIFTED UP ON THE CROSS
“And YAHWAH sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against YAHWAH, and against thee; pray unto YAHWAH, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And YAHWAH said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.” (Numbers 21:6-8)
“And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:” (John 3:13-14)
“Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” (John 8:28)

HE IS TO BE CRUCIFIED WITH OTHER CRIMINALS
“Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:12)
“And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on the right hand, and the other on his left. And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.” (Mark 15:27-28)
HE WOULD NOT PROVE WHO HE WAS BY SAVING HIMSELF
“All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on YAHWAH that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.” (Psalm 22:7-8)
“He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, (go to top)
and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.” (Matthew 27:42-43)

HIS EXECUTIONERS GAMBLED FOR HIS CLOTHES
“They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.” (Ps. 22:18)
“And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.” (Matthew 27:35)

HIS EXECUTIONERS GAVE HIM VINEGAR GALL TO DRINK

“They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he tasted thereof, he would not drink. And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.” (Matthew 27:34, 48)
“And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar; and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.” (Mark 15:36)

HIS BONES WERE NOT TO BE BROKEN
“I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.” (Psalm 22:17)
“He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.” (Psalm 34:20)
“But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs. For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.” (John 19:33, 36)
HE IS TO PRAY FOR THE IGNORANT MASSES OF OPPOSITION
“For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.” (Psalm 109:4)
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” (Luke 23:34)
HIS WORK IS FINISHED IN DEATH
“He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.” (Isaiah 53:8)
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.” (Daniel 9:24)
“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” (John 19:30)
